Aged Lady Struck by Car Tuesday Evening
Mrs Agnes Marcelles of East 6th Street was hit by a car driven by Herold A Preston of Mt Pleasant Tuesday night. She was taken to Dr F G Slattery's office with bruised hip and leg and no broken bones. She is reported recovering at home. Local residents aid in the incident.

Grant Resident Commits Death by Own Action
John Nass, 30, of Grant township, died Tuesday morning from a selfinflicted gunshot wound suffered between midnight and 6:00 a m. He had been under a physician’s care for weeks. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p m Thursday at the home, Rev C Binhammer officiating, with burial in Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Federal Highway In Line For Pavement Projects
Rep. Miles M. Callahan says plans near completion for grading and drainage on U S Highway 10 from the Evart bridge to State Road 66. State Highway Department will submit to the Federal Department of Roads on October 20 for final approval. Contracts likely within three weeks and paving to start mid December, with completion of the grading project in 1936. Additional work includes the road from No 66 to Farwell and gaps between Reed City and Evart to be paved in early 1936.

The Clare County Health Association met Thursday evening at Farwell high school auditorium with a full attendance. The music department directed by Mrs. G. E. Lamb presented an engaging program. Mrs. Harry Bradley canning supervisor and Dr. H. Boonstra outlined next year’s work while Dr. B. V. Thiehott gave a health talk and showed travel pictures. A social hour and refreshments followed. Supt. E. D. Kennedy invited the next meeting to Clare on November 6.

Three Brothers to Face Court on Larceny Charge
Three Holtzlander brothers from Big Rapids held at Clare county Jail await Circuit Court arraignment in November on charges including breaking and entering robbery and parole violation. State police say they linked the trio to numerous robberies across Clare Isabella Mecosta and Gratiot counties and recovered hundreds of dollars in stolen goods. Hoyt 23 Zenith 18 Charley 16 previously pled guilty in Justice Young court and were bound over. Hoyt has prior larceny conviction and a 1933 prison sentence.
