City Commission Advances Seaw er and Water Lien Assessments
The December 17 1956 Clare Michigan City Commission held a lengthy session approving and adopting two special assessment rolls for Eastwood Drive sanitary sewer and water mains. The sewer roll totals 1044.78 with city paying 261.20 and residents 783.58, split into three installments. interest 6 percent on deferred payments. The water mains roll totals 680.36, also in three installments with specified due dates and 6 percent interest. commissioners Seiter Nivison Schroeder Haley voted yes. no nays. The board also approved contract for highways maintenance 1956 57 and building permits for a garage clinic and two way radio, plus tax collection actions and an annexation resolution for Grant Township parcels 26 25 and 25. A public sale bill list and adjournment followed.
