Mrs B L Blem Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Myrtle Emma Boynton Blem, longtime resident of the area, died Friday at Clare General Hospital after a year of ill health. Born April 28, 1893 in Grand Traverse County Michigan, she was 58. She leaves husband Rev B L Blem six daughters, her mother, nine grandchildren, and many relatives. Services were held Monday at the North Shade United Brethren Church with Rev W T Bryde and colleagues officiating. Stephenson Funeral Home arranged the rites.

Raymond Leroy Fraley died Monday evening at his home near Clare from a sudden illness. Born May 1 1920 in Boyne Falls the son of Dallas and Arvilla Fraley he served five years in the military. He married Virginia McConnell March 16 1949 and is survived by Virginia two sons Dallas and Richard a sister Mrs Dora DeFoy two brothers Ralph and others. Funeral held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Sherman Church Sherman Township Isabella County with Rev Noble Davis officiating Russell Thurston in charge.

Two Fined For Loaded Guns In Cars Saturday
James R. Ryan age 63 of Alma was arrested by Conservation Officer Don Bell in Freeman township on a loaded gun in his car and pled guilty in Municipal Court, fined 17 dollars. County Bus Drivers To Attend Safety Course In Clare
County Superintendent John F Brown announces a driver training course for all county school bus operators. A two story frame house owned by Jacob Jackson, three quarters of a mile south of Andersonville School, was destroyed by a fire Wednesday evening around 6 p.m. Fire units from Coleman and Rosebush fought the blaze, saving some first floor furnishings but the home burned completely. No insurance was carried on the property.

Mrs Useba Allen longtime Clare resident died at 6 15 PM Wednesday at her home west of Clare with her daughter and husband Mr and Mrs Jay Bellinger. She was 90 last March and had been bedbound for three years. Funeral services will be held at 2 00 PM Saturday at the home. Rev Lassis J Nevins will officiate and interment will follow in Cherry Grove cemetery. Arrangements are by Russell Thirston.
