Hunter Wounded by Accidental Gunfire in Deer Hunt
Nic Bellows of Pontiac was seriously wounded by a hunter's accidental rifle discharge six miles west and two miles south of Harrison Tuesday morning. He suffered a leg fracture above the ankle and bled badly before being taken to Clare Hospital. The incident occurred while three hunters and a fourth encountered a fallen tree in the woods during a deer hunt.

Funeral services were held Monday at Stinson Funeral Home Mt. Pleasant for Otto Methner who died Saturday. Born Detroit May 18 1886 he moved to Isabella county as an infant and lived there his life. Survived by widow Elsie Spore two sons Jack and Hulda McDonald Roh four grandchildren and many siblings in Wise township West Branch Coleman and Beaver Town.

More than seventy five parents teachers and friends met in the Clare School Home Economics room for the November P T A meeting. The program opened with first grade Thanksgiving songs and a little eighth grade play Hello Grandma. Mrs Wallace announced 104 total members and a vacancy to be filled December 17. The group voted another $50 for the piano fund and selected a representative for the piano unveiling.

Frederick S. Martin died at his sister Mrs Laura Pringle's home in Clare after a heart attack. Born January 25 1866 in Wayne County PA he lived in Lake Farwell and Clare most of his life and was a retired carpenter. Survived by daughters Luella Beck and Anthony Kuczwara son Lorenzo Martin sister Laura Pringle five grandchildren one great grandchild and many relatives. Remains at Gossett Chapel Saginaw and Lake Gleaner Hall with funeral services at 2 30 p m. Interment at Lake.
