Last week Thursday Mrs F C Sanford and Mrs M Callihan hosted a pleasant afternoon bridge party at the former home. Michigan holly decorated the room and cerise chrysanthemum table favors. High score was won by Mrs Yernell Reeder with second to Mrs John Asline and third for low score to Mrs Howard Jones. A two course luncheon was served. Out of town guest Mrs Florence Bouchout of Kalamazoo attended.

Miss Jane Holmes Dies in Florida at 87
Miss Jane Holmes daughter of Elijah and Grace Holmes born October 11 1840 in Sandyville Ohio died November 18 1927 in St Cloud Florida after being struck by an auto. She moved from Ohio to Michigan then Farwell before settling in Clare and Loomis. She leaves a brother a half sister numerous nieces and nephews and was interred at Cherry Grove cemetery after services conducted by Rev W W Hurd.
