Bids Placed For Gravel Road Projects North Of Clare
Bids were submitted to the State Administrative Board for three gravel road jobs on U S 27 north of Clare. Work planned for this winter includes a cut at James Hill to create a permanent grade for future concrete paving and a straightening of curves near the Magnus farm with heavy fill. Piling for a bridge will be laid this winter, with the bridge itself likely in spring. A new road from southeast of the county infirmary will connect to the south Harrison pavement, reducing mileage and eliminating several curves on the Clare Harrison route.

He was born May 20 1849 in York county and lived in Saginaw South Lyons Clare and finally Clare where he resided since 1917.
