Mary Dell Dies at Farwell Home After Illness
Mrs Mary Dell aged 68 years 9 months 2 days died Sunday night at her Farwell residence after complications. She and husband Henry Dell married October 21 1878 and celebrated their golden wedding on October 21 1928 with twelve children present except one son Hiram. Survived by Reginald Muskegon Heights Hiram Monroe and many others including Mrs O E Nelson Mrs Jas Degeer and Dewey Farwell and Flint relatives plus numerous grandchildren. Shetland Pony Killed By Car Near Ithaca Sunday Night
Kenneth Cox struck a running pony and two large horses crossing the Perry farm pavement one half mile south of the city. The car overturned in a ditch, Cox escaped unharmed, and the auto damage was about 150 dollars. The pony belonged to Thos Schroeder and Cox works at Bayes bakery.

Earl Wilson Dies After Operation for Appendicitis
Earl Wilson died at Samaritan hospital in Bay City after four weeks of illness following an appendicitis operation. He was born October 19 1906 in Vernon township Isabella County Michigan and died November 12 1930 at age 24. He lived in Clare and Isabella counties, later moving to Florida and Pontiac. He leaves parents, a grandmother Emma Wilson, and a grandfather James McPhail, with many relatives and friends. Funeral was held Saturday from his grandmother’s home with Rev A P McDonald officiating.

Sheridan man brings century old land grant to light
M. P. Sowle of Sheridan discovered an ancient parchment transferring 160 acres from Chauncey J. D. Wolcott to Buretus Hastings. Dated April 9, 1829 and signed by Andrew Jackson, the document describes a parcel in section 3, township 1 north, range 9 east near Warmington, with Sowle's father later owning 9 1/2 acres of the land.
