Citizens Bank and Trust opens a Rosebush office with a nine o clock ribbon cutting and three day Grand Opening. Rosebush officials and Clare and Rosebush bankers will attend along with chamber leaders and township officers. Visitors may register for prizes and inspect the new facility through December 4.

Clare School Board Sells Bus and Auctioned Stove

The Clare School Board authorized sale of a retired 1952 Int. 60 pass bus and Frigidaire electric stove via bids due by 4 p.m. Monday November 22 at the superintendent’s office. Bus and stove visible on school grounds. New equipment includes a refrigerator washer and dryer and twenty chorus robes for the high school. Board notes reduced State Equalized Valuation for parts of the district in Wise and Vernon townships.

Coleman PTO to discuss school budget proposals

Coleman Board of Education will present financial proposals at a regualr PTO meeting on November 23. Ballot items include a $330,000 bond issue to build classrooms and a 17 mill operating levy replacing the existing millage. Public questions will be addressed. district residents urged to attend.

Courthouse costs trimmed for Harrison county building plan

Harrison supervisors reached final approval for the county building project after cost cutting. Lake County 4-H Delegate Heads to Chicago Congress

A Clare county 4-Her joins 33 others from Michigan as a delegate to the 44th National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago starting November 27. John Streeter of Lake earned the berth with a first place in the State 4-H electrical project contest.
