Michigan State College Rules Out Bean Beetle Damage
The Michigan State College department of entomology states that no commercial damage will occur to beans in Michigan from the Mexican bean beetle within the next five years. A few beetles were found in southeastern counties last year but ordinary beans remain unthreatened. Control methods exist and the presence of the beetle should be disregarded in planting plans. The bulletin No. 107 provides full life history and control measures with illustrations of adult and larval stages.
