The Sheridan Live Wires 4 H Club completed a successful year in clothing and handicraft work. The clothing exhibit valued at 94 dollars and handicraft at 16 dollars. Clare County Michigan Education Association met at Harrison VFW Hall Monday evening. The Ladies Auxiliary served a chicken dinner before the meeting. Rosebush Youth Dies After Farm Accident
Howard Smith the son of Mr and Mrs Albert Smith died after an injury on the farm. He was injured while helping disconnect a car from a trailer with a sledge hammer and crow bar. He died Saturday morning at Community Hospital Mt Pleasant. He was an altar boy at St Henry s Church and part of the eighth grade class at Herring School. He was born in Isabella county near Weidman in September 1928. Funeral was held at St Henry s Church with burial in Saint Henry s Cemetery. Six altar boys in uniform stood as guard of honor.

Harrison Man Fined For Losing Control Of Fire
Walter Jackson, 67, of Harrison, pleaded guilty in Clare court to setting fire to grass lands and endangering property. He paid 25 dollars fine plus 3.85 dollars costs after fire burned his hog house and a neighbor’s acre and a half. Authorities urge proper permits and fire control.

Clare High School held its 18th Annual Spring Band Concert last Thursday in the auditorium with over six hundred attendees.
