The Clare County Junior Livestock Club held a spring tour on Saturday May 6 with over 65 participants. Traffic Deaths Dip in Michigan in April
Michigan reported 145 traffic deaths in April, six fewer than a year earlier. April marked the fifth straight month of declines from the previous year, with a five year average of 138 and an accumulated yearly toll of 516, down 117 from 633 in the first four months of 1966. The Tuesday Night Ladies Bowling League wrapped up the 1966 67 season with a banquet at the Town and Country on April 25th. President Helen McJames introduced captains and guests as 52 attendees enjoyed a smorgasbord, awards, and skits by the Clare Sentinel and Brackart Motor Sales teams. Fran Carncross captured high series 622 high game 256 and high average 172, while Karen Branstrom earned Most Improved Average and Beth Brown with Donna J Bailey shared most pins over average.
