Weight tax receipts 1947 rise over 1946 first quarter
Weight tax collections for the first quarter of 1947 totalled 22,017,662.11 dollars and will be returned to counties and cities for local roads. The rise over 1946 is attributed to the absence of half year license plates this year, and indicates potential higher annual totals if the second and fourth quarters match 1946. Projections suggest 1947 weight tax may exceed 1946 overall. Local share amounts include Clare 63,187.97 dollars and other counties listed.
