County nurse Mrs. Kath Tyn Freeman said vaccines may be offered at school mass inoculations or special clinics if enough supply accumulates, with sessions throughout the summer to complete first and second doses for children ages one to fourteen.

Reckless Driver Pleads Guilty In Clare Municipal Court
William Ross Cruson, 39, of Detroit, arrested on West Fifth Street April 26 for reckless driving. He pled guilty April 27 and was assessed $54.30 fine and costs by Justice William B. Dunlop. Walter K. Volmer of Midland paid $14.30 in fines for drunken and disorderly conduct.

Fire Destroys Bay Farm Barn Near Clare
A Bay area barn at the Burton Bay farm four miles north and three and a half east of Clare burned Monday evening just before 6 a.m. The blaze origin is unknown. No stock or much hay were lost. Clare fire chief Stan Parish reports a complete loss.

Clare boy wins third in Pie Youth Talent Contest
David Hintz aged 12 son of Mr and Mrs William Hintz of rural Clare took third prize in the Pie Youth Talent Contest held in Lansing. His black and white harbor scene sketch earned his ribbon and plaque after entries were screened for quality from about a dozen counties.
