One Day Session of Clare County Circuit Court Opens
The March term of the Clare County Circuit Court opened Monday for a one day session before Judge Hart. Seven cases were heard with four criminal pleas of guilty and three chancery hearings. The People versus Vivian Douglas resulted in a guilty plea and immediate discharge due to prior jail time. The People versus Owen Clink and Oscar Hudson involved burglary charges with varying pleas and tentative rulings. Clink later changed to guilty on counts two and three. sentencing to follow after further conduct. Continued on Page Four.

Cars Face March 31 Deadline For 1933 Licenses
Motorists with 1932 licenses must display half time permits by March 31. Clare county license plates are issued by Citizens State Bank with 426 new licenses sold before March 15 and 64 since. By March 14, sixty owners had secured half time permits, and 106 tags had been issued by Wednesday noon. After April 1, restrictions will be enforced.
