Crowds grow nightly with voluntary musical numbers and inspiring testimonies by youths and others. Rev Robert Rossider of Evart preached Tuesday on It is Finished. Wednesday featured Rev P H Kadey of Flint drawing The Little Brown Church in the Vale on a canvas while his musical companion Mrs Pfetsch, Mt Pleasant, played piano and joined in songs. Gypsy Rover to Be Staged Tonight at High School
The Gypsy Rover a musical comedy in three acts will be performed tonight in the High School auditorium at eight. The Girls and Boys Glee Clubs prepared it and rehearsals ran for weeks. Tickets are sold by students with all seats reserved at Anderson's drug store until seven then rides to the school house for reserved seating. A full evening of play and song features gypsies and English noblemen. Adult 25 cents and school children 15 cents.

Demented Man Sparks County Officers In Charge Fight
Alba Sparks fifty three caused a county chase when officers surrounded his shack near Lake. Sheriff Woods led five officers including the prosecutor and state police in a dawn raid. Sparks fired wild shots, was wounded in the calf, and taken to a hospital before return to Traverse City.

Harriet Ripley dies at Pennsylvania home of pneumonia
Harriet Wing Ripley aged 70 wife of William Ripley died Saturday morning March 25 at her home in Upper Mt. Bethel township near Schoch's school. She had lived in the area 40 years and was a member of Christ Lutheran Stone Church. She is survived by her husband and children Mrs Chester Strunk Bath Mrs John Saltern and Anson Ripley Detroit ten grandchildren nine great grandchildren and several siblings. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday at 1 30 p m then at Christ Lutheran Church Stone Church and interment in Union Cemetery Stone Church.

Clare High students chosen for North Central Music Conference
Five Clare High School students will attend the North Central Music Supervisors Conference in Grand Rapids this spring. Elizabeth Feighner Hazel Stottlemeyer and Rose Marie Jackson from the Girls Glee Club will sing in a 150 voice mixed chorus with students from Michigan and other states. Neal Elden and Upton Tupper join the band representing Clare in a student ensemble. The five day program includes tryouts rehearsals and concerts with opportunities to meet national musicians. Proceeds from the operetta fund the trip.
