Earl Bouchey Killed in Chicago Auto Accident
Harl Bouchey son of Mr and Mrs Gilbert Bouchey former residents of Wyare was killed in an automobile accident in Chicago Illinois returning home with five friends after a party. He died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. The others were seriously injured. Funeral services were held in Ithaca on Sunday at 2 00 oclock at the home. Relatives attending from Clare included Jack Bouchey Bert McLaughlin and family Gillis Elmer Fetters Bert Bowers Jack Waddington and others.

Three Small Fires Challenge Clare Fire Crew
Clare fire department was kept busy with three calls over a few days but all were minor. A Chevron gas car at Zemmer Motor Sales on Firat and McEwan streets, a 14 foot blaze at Guy Hardy's home on South McEwan, and a roof fire at Charles Williams’ garage in the Air Ward area on Tuesday afternoon were quickly controlled with little damage.

Gertrude May Parsell was born May 24 1893 on a farm near Loomis Michigan. She moved to Detroit as a young woman and married Abram Manier. The couple wintered in New Orleans Louisiana where she died after illness. Survived by husband one brother three sisters and many friends. Pioneer couple celebrate golden wedding near Sears
The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Strait was observed at their Sylvan township farm on March 4 1928. Family and friends gathered from Sears Owosso and Lansing to share a noon dinner and music. The Straits who settled there in 1878 marked fifty years on the same farm with twenty grandchildren and a portable Victrola as gifts.
