In loving memory of our dear father Charles Ulrich who passed away April 1 1926 two years ago. Farewell dear father rest weary with years until we meet again. We miss thee and keep memories of thee in the Lord to rest for ye. His wife Elizabeth Ulrich and children.

H C Oviatt recently named extension agent in sugar beet culture will deliver the first of three talks to beet growers in Isabella and Clare counties at Vernon township hall at 3:00 pm Central Standard time. The Bay County farmer and Michigan State College staffer will cover fertilization ground preparation and systematic beet growing to raise tonnage per acre. He has extensive beet-growing experience on a 260 acre farm and toured the sugar beet belt on the Michigan Central railroad. He will also speak at Beal City Gleaner hall tonight and Mt. Pleasant county building court room tomorrow afternoon.
The Clare city and Isabella and Clare county townships vote next Monday April 2. The Clare Sentinel pledges non partisan coverage of city and township races while urging every qualified voter to cast a ballot, regardless of perceived importance.
A local Home Talent production titled Diamonds and Hearts is planned for the near future at the high school auditorium. The bachelor farmer and his sister figure prominently in a strong scene set in his home. Watch for the date.
Radio fans will hear Leslie Osborn over station WEBI Chicago Sunday evening at 7 30 and 9 00. He will perform two piano selections with accompaniment for a soloist. Osborn is described as a talented young musician and friends are urged to listen.

Rosella V. Hughes Flynn aged 48 died March 21 1928 at midnight in Vernon after ten years of illness. Born Osceola Livingston County she married Harry Flynn and had nine children seven living. Funeral at St Cecelia Clare was officiated by Father Flanigan with many mourners from Howell Milford Gladwin Mt Morris Detroit and other towns.
Mrs. Hattie E. Walker dies Sunday at her daughter Mrs. Holbrook’s home in Clare after weeks of serious illness. Born December 25 1862 in Pine River Wisconsin she married George P. Walker November 17 1886. Survived by three children Nathan Walker Marie Holbrook Mary Diggles four grandchildren and siblings Fannie Olson and Edgar Kimball. Burial planned in Wisconsin at Wautona.
Mr and Mrs Frank Wilds and Robert Baker thank neighbors and friends for timely help and efforts when their home was destroyed by fire.

The state mourns Woodbridge N Ferris ex governor and senator after pneumonia. He died Friday in Washington DC and lay in state in Big Rapids before Tuesday services at the armory. Ferris founded the Ferris Institute and shaped many lives with his high standards.
