Former Clare resident David Fish dies at son's Mt. Pleasant home
David Fish, born January 6 1867 in Canada, died March 3 1933 at his son Charles Fish's home in Mt. Pleasant aged 66 years 2 months. He married May A Hornung July 3 1887. four children were born. Survived by sons Charles of Mt Pleasant and James of Lansing, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral March 5 at 2 p.m. in Stinson chapel with Rev J A Rowe. interment Greendale cemetery. He formerly lived in Clare and vicinity before moving to Mt Pleasant. He retired the night before his death.

Local Marion Druggist James Conklin Dies After Illness
Mr and Mrs Wm Teall of Grant learned Wednesday of the death of James Conklin the Marion druggist. He had been ill since Saturday with throat trouble and his sudden death shocked family and friends. He is survived by his wife Edith and one child with his mother-in-law living with them.

The State Bank Commissioner informs Citizens State Bank Clare that it may resume business March 16 under the President's Proclamation and Treasury Regulations with a ban on gold payments and hoarding currency.
