Seiter First To File For Clare Commission Election
Laurence Seiter, former Clare city commissioner and longtime official, files a candidacy petition for the April 4 election. Clare police made two arrests during the past weekend. Royal Gordon, 29, of Clare, was arrested for driving under the influence early Sunday after his car weaved on McEwan Street. His brother Melvin Gordon was charged with allowing an intoxicated person to drive. both were arraigned, Royal fined 54 dollars, Melvin’s case pending. Duane Glass, 23, of Farwell, was arrested Saturday at 2 a.m. for breaking into his mother-in-law’s house. he was arraigned and fined 25 dollars with 4.50 dollars costs.
