Weekly Market Letter Notes Butter and Egg Price Moves

Eastern butter markets show advance prices with New York and Chicago leading gains. Buyers favor fresh butter over storage stock while egg demand remains solid though prices edge lower on abundance of eggs. Chicago butter market quotes rise to about 48 1/2 to 49 1/4 cents, with eggs weaker as production trails last year and demand stays steady for current production.
