Pay Oil Found Near Mt Pleasant In Dundee Sand
Pure Oil drillers at a test well east of Mt Pleasant broke into the Dundee oil sand at 3 564 feet. Oil rushed to surface within 834 hours and flowed into storage tanks. Geologists call it a promising find with potential 8000 to 12000 acre area and gas present. Leasing has grown to about 20 600 acres under contract and around 25 000 more held by others.
