Arthur Township trustees will meet at the town hall on Tuesday March 6 and again Monday and Tuesday March 12 and 13 to review the tax roll. Clerk John Brubaker announces the schedule and invites residents to attend.
In Clare County Probate Court Harrison on February 27 1956 Judge George Bates orders creditors to file claims by May 30 1956 at 2 pm and to publish weekly notices for three weeks in Clare Sentinel with mailed copies to interested parties.
Beginning November 1 1955 the minimum price for want ads remains 4bc if the advertiser name is included. Blind ads with no name printed but an address or phone number will be charged 65c for 25 words or less and 5c for each word over the first five. The change aims to save time and bookkeeping by restricting unidentified ads.

The city resolves to vacate the south fourteen feet of East Third Street between Pine and Meehan in Clare Michigan. A public hearing is set for March 19, 1956 at 8 PM in City Hall. Notices will run weekly for four weeks in the Clare Sentinel. Citizens may object in writing to the City Clerk Alyx McKinnon before the hearing.

A special meeting of the legal voters of School District No 2 Gilmore township Isabella County Michigan is set for March 9, 1956 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM at the schoolhouse. Voters will decide on annexing Gilmore Township District No 2 to Farwell Rural Agricultural School District No 7 Clare County Michigan. Also whether Gilmore No 3 School District in Yeabella County Michigan may sell the school buildings to Gilmore Variety Lab.
