Farwell Auto Crash Brings Negligent Homicide Charge
Larry Robert Lockwood 19 of Lake named defendant in a negligent homicide case after a Saturday night head on collision near Farwell. Victims Earl W. Town 76 and Florence Town 71 died. three passengers injured. Police say Lockwood crossed the center line in a 1958 Chevrolet on a curve near Maple and South Roads. Arraignment set for March 9 in Clare County Court.

Suspect in 1956 Killing Cleared for Return to Clare County
Lonnie Chambers formerly of Harrison who faced a 1956 murder charge and was confined at Ionia State Hospital for the insane has been pronounced cured and the hospital recommends his return to Clare County for final disposition. The trial for the shooting of his father in law John Potter of Harrison was never held. Clare County Prosecutor James S.
