Boy Drowns At Stevenson Lake Near Mt. Pleasant
A 16 year old Mt. Pleasant boy Edward Junior Van Orden drowned Tuesday night at Stevenson Lake after remaining in shallow water while friends swam farther out. His body was recovered about three hours later by Ed Tomaski of Clare with State Police and Dr. Leo Wichert present. State Police and locals aided in the search as family members learned of the tragedy by morning telephone report.

Three Men Charged With Beating Clare Man

Polio Strikes A County Child In Tri County Area
