Methodist leaders report Michigan conference highlights
Rev. Leslie J Nevins of Clare Methodist Church summarized the Michigan annual conference held June 12 to 16 at Albion. Highlights included 22 young men received on trial, a statistical gain and a rise in church school membership, and $1 252689 spent on buildings and improvements. The conference opposed general mercantile business on Sundays and backed a ban on alcohol on passenger aircraft while urging prayer for Billy Graham’s New York evangelistic crusade.
