Mrs Harriett A Hooker widow of Willis A Hooker of Farwell died from a heart ailment at 9 15 Saturday morning June 9 aged ninety years four months She survived by a daughter Grace Smith of Jackson three sons Clyde Ross Roy and Keith fourteen grandchildren eleven great grandchildren and other relatives services were held at Lyons Jennings Chapel Owosso with Rev Ralph Woodard officiating and burial in Grass Latter cemetery

Horace DeWitt Joyner died at his Clare home Monday June 11 1945 aged 81. He was born in Courtland New York January 6 1864 and moved to Clare about forty five years ago. Survived by widow a son died at birth one brother from Wisconsin a daughter Mrs Elizabeth McIntosh one granddaughter Elva Lea and many nieces and nephews. Funeral at Congregational Church Sunday June 17 at 3 pm with Rev Harold Watson. Interment Cherry Grove cemetery. Out of town attendees included relatives from Wisconsin and Michigan households.
