The Clare Business and Professional Women's Club met June 11 at Hotel Doherty. President Gertrude Gillaspie opened the meeting as secretary and treasurer reports were accepted. Gavel passed to Jean Blow for 1973 74. July picnic set at Blow’s on July 9. Maida Montney, the scholarship winner, was introduced and thanked the group.

Clare congregation officials announce one of the largest series of religious conventions in history. International travel director Charles Molohan says hundreds of thousands of delegates will attend across 43 countries with tours totaling about 16,000 travelers. Aircraft shuttles include 23 planes to Hawaii and 14 to Europe, with 12 planes to Puerto Rico. Conventions will be held in stadiums in major U S cities this summer. local delegates expect to attend Detroit.
