Fatal motorcycle crash near Littlefield Lake claims teen
Since last week’s paper the Sentinel reports new details on two fatal accidents from Sunday June 3. Brian John Devlin 17 died in a motorcycle crash at 9 p m in the Ashbrook Shores area of Littlefield Lake in northern Isabella County.

Fatal Private Road Crash and US 10 Collision Claim One Life
Richard Gibson Laverty, 18, died when his car, driven by Alton Snyder, 19, collided with a vehicle entering US 10 from Hilltop Bar. Stanley Glowicki, 65, of Marion, drove the other car. Glowicki said he had time to enter. Snyder swerved to the shoulder to avoid, but struck Glowicki, sending Snyder into a ditch.

In Clare, Rilett won a seat and Dunlop edged incumbent Wyman to take the two positions, with 489 ballots cast. Farwell district elected Haag and DeForest to the board while approving a three mill five year renewal. a separate three mill increase failed. Harrison re elected Haskell and Roth. Foote trailed with 58 votes. Coleman kept incumbents Walter and Nielsen as a millage passed.

Plane Loses Tail but Lands Safely at Clare Airport
A 1962 Cessna with four aboard lost its tail after hitting a power line near Lake Shamrock dam while en route from Barryton to Clare. Piloted by Marshall Carroll of Ortonville, the craft circled and landed at Clare Airport with no injuries. Power outages affected Clare Farwell Harrison and Coleman briefly. State Police with Clare Police investigated.
