Plans complete for Grass Day program at Evart
County Agricultural Agent W S Harrison announced a Grass Day on June 28 at Arnold Parsons farm three miles south and one mile east of Evart. The event features equipment displays including balers harvesters mowers and spreaders with lunch and health services for attendees. Dairying Tops Michigan Farm Cash Income in 1947
Michigan dairy industry led farm income in 1947 with about 228 million dollars. Milk sold wholesale accounted for most of this, with 169 million from 70 percent of milk production. Michigan ranked sixth nationally with six billion pounds of milk. Dairy Month sees a one cent per pound butterfat contribution to support advertising and promotion efforts.
