Eli Geroux Dies at Country Home After Stroke
Eli Geroux born 1861 in Port Neff Canada died at his Clare County farm near Grant on June 7 1933 after months of illness. He moved to Michigan at fifteen working as riverman on Cheboygan Alpena and Saginaw rivers before settling in Clare County twenty seven years ago with his wife Mary Rutovsky. He leaves three children nine grandchildren one brother and one sister.

David McPhail of Detroit died at home Monday after a long residence in Clare area. Relatives and friends were notified in Clare. Funeral services are set for Friday at 9:00 a.m. with burial in Detroit. A life sketch will appear next week.

Freight Train Wrecks on Remmick Hill West of Farwell
Early Wednesday a freight train No. 55 westbound on the P. M. railroad derailed on Remmick Hill about 1:35 am eight cars left the track. Dr W F Clute treated serious injuries to conductor Charles Beardsley. Spreading of rails suspected. Both passenger trains cancelled for the day.

Tribute to yntha Amelia Carr born November 1, 1856 near Merricksville Ontario who died June 11, 1932 at 76 years in Sheridan township.
