Ninety five rural pupils of Clare county will receive state eighth grade diplomas in a Thursday forenoon ceremony at St State Park Harrison. A Watt Johnstone will deliver the address with diploma presentation by Asa Aldrich assisted by Chancey Jones and Bruce Williams. Music by Clare high school band directed by Harry Webbrly. Afternoon events include a county field meet with athletic contests and a basketball game between east and west sides, as Clare High aims to win the trophy from Harrison.

Severe hail storm damages farms and windows across central Michigan
A powerful hail storm swept central Michigan Monday evening, hitting Harrison Clare and Vernon township. Case Heard In June Session Of Clare Circuit Court
The June 1933 term of the Clare County Circuit Court opened in Harrison. Two matters were taken up with Dunlop versus Woodward the only case tried, resulting in a judgment for the plaintiff for 140 dollars plus 10 dollars costs. The rest of the calendar was continued or dismissed. The People v Fairbanks and Wilson involved grand larceny of nine cows. defendants stood mute and were entered not guilty, bond set, case continued.

Doherty Receives Severe Burns Installing Water Heater
M A Doherty suffered severe burns to his right hand and arm last Saturday while installing an automatic water heater at the home of Mr and Mrs Lonie Thayer in Vernon. He had just finished his work and was lighting the gas when gas from an open valve exploded. The city fire department was summoned to the Wm Siel residence on South Maple Street where a wood pile fire threatened Robt Archambault's home but caused no damage.
