The Clare High School band processed to Me Hwan Street and the city park while a wreath was laid on the Honor Roll. Mrs Lillie Glock longtime Farwell resident died May 29 1946 at her home after years of ill health Funeral services were held at Farwell Methodist Church with Rev Chas B Hahn and Rev J Wesley Tele officiating She leaves a daughter Mrs Fred Hyslop of Vassar a son Walter of Ovid seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was born April 11 1868 in Allegan Michigan and lived in Gilmore township before moving to Farwell.

Fire destroys barn at Ed Carpenter farm near Clare
Clare rural fire unit battled a Thursday morning blaze at the Ed Carpenter farm three miles east of Clare on US 10.
