Mrs Ed Russell Dies at Clare Home After Illness
Mrs Ed Russell lifelong Isabella and Clare counties resident died at her Clare home Sunday afternoon after several weeks of illness. Born June 15 1882 in Isabella township she married Charles Dixon in 1900 and Edwin L Russell in 1931. Survived by husband daughter Mrs Carl Dust two grandchildren a brother and many relatives. Funeral held Wednesday at 2 pm from the home with Dr John H Hall officiating. Interment Cherry Grove cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs William Langin a Sheridan township pioneer were held at Thurston Funeral Home with Rev F R Galusha officiating. Interment followed at Cherry Grove Cemetery. She helped establish the Sheridan Baptist Church and led the Ladies Aid Society. She is survived by daughters Edna and Beulah and two granddaughters.

John Acre Burned by Gas Flames at Clare's Garage
John Acre an employee at Clare's Garage was badly burned Thursday when trying to prime a carburetor and gasoline ignited. Fellow workers smothered flames with cardboard, Acre received third degree burns to his right hand forearm chest and face and oral fumes injuries, later hospitalized and reported recovering.

Man and Child Die in Isabella County Incident
Darele West a 31 year old Chapman Oil employee was instantly killed Monday night when he was caught in a belt on the Diamond and Varman oil lease in the Denver field. Gerald Ruthruff two year old son of the Fred Ruthruffs of Broomfield township was instantly killed Monday after apparently falling from a gate while playing on his father's farm. Coroner R A Northway investigated and reports the child suffered a fractured skull. The Ruthruffs have four other children.
