The long serving minister Reverend William Stratten died at his Farwell home Tuesday morning at eighty four. Born June 30 1858 in Canaan Ohio he was valedictorian of his class and taught before entering ministry. He served many Michigan churches and was a presiding elder for nine years. His wife Sarah A. Taylor died in 1899 leaving two daughters Hoa May and continued on page twelve.

Mrs Henry Kleiner a Clare county resident for over fifty years died at her Sheridan township home Saturday morning She was born March 29 1863 in Nueckargartach Wuerttemberg Germany and married Henry Gottlieb Kleiner July 4 1891 The couple moved from Germany to Hatton Michigan then to Sheridan in 1897 She lived at the same homestead until her death July 18 age 79 years three months ten days Survived by four sons Ernest Henry Otto and Robert and daughter Mrs Helen Bay nine grandchildren and other relatives Funeral services were held Monday at 115 pm from the home and 2 pm at St Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church Cherry Grove Cemetery interment there.
