Ira D. Miller Dies at Long Lake Home
Ira David Miller, lifelong Clare county resident, died at his Frost township home near Long Lake on August 3 1942 after months of ill health. Born April 18 1901 in Sheridan township, he married Myrtle Maye Spohn in 1928 and had two children. He served on the Frost Township Unit School Board and as Hatton township treasurer. Funeral services were held at the Frost town hall with Rev. Herman Minninger officiating and interment at Cherry Grove cemetery. Arrangements were by Doherty & Son.

Twenty one people X-rayed on July 6 in Clare County showed no active contagious tuberculosis.
