Alleged Deer Hunters Fined In Justice Court
Clyde Wilder and Benjamin Arnold, both of Lansing, were fined after pleading guilty to possessing a 32 Winchester Special rifle in a deer area at night two miles east of US 27 and M 61 in Hatton township. Each paid 31.15 dollars plus 6.85 dollars costs. Other local traffic and carnival related offenses were listed with fines and appearances as noted, with a note the page continues on Page Six.

Vestaburg Silo Company contributed equipment while eight 6000 bushel external silos and eight internal 2500 bushel bins yield about 65000 bushels capacity. The facility handles 1000 bushels hour of grain and 1500 bushels hour of car corn. A unique 14 by 30 foot corn cob burner silo stands beside the elevator. Wayne Alwood aged fifty four died Wednesday morning July 21 at the Veterans Hospital in Dearborn. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM from Clare Church of God with interment in Arthur Township Cemetery. A full obituary will appear next week.

John T. Randle Dies at Clare Hospital July 17
John T. Randle died in Clare Hospital after a six month illness. Born January 4 1889 in Saginaw Michigan, he lived with brother Harley on the family homestead in Sheridan Township. He leaves six brothers Clifford Leslie Clarence Floyd Harley Henry, two sisters Mrs Dorothy Bushong and Mrs Grace Cooper, and other relatives. Funeral held at Clare Congregational Church with Rev Chas Kleinhardt officiating, burial at Gherry Grove cemetery.

Relatives were informed that Rowland Mussell's body was recovered in San Francisco Bay on July 8 after he went missing for about eight days. Identification was made by Mrs. Bertha Dietrick, with burial planned at Cherry Grove cemetery in Clare. He served in the Merchant Marine and was born October 28, 1906 in Clare Michigan.
