Fannie Ann Reed daughter of Joseph and Alicia Gardiner born February 4 1869 in New Boyne Canada died Sunday morning January 20 at Hurley hospital Flint of pneumonia at 65 years 11 months 16 days. She moved with her family to Michigan as an infant living in Vassar Clare Farwell and Flint. Survived by son Linus daughters Jennie Bingham and Grandchildren Frances Jimmy Jean two sisters three brothers and many relatives. Funeral services held at Farwell with interment in Surrey cemetery.

Fire fighters responded to a blaze at Arthur Grovenor’s north city home about 2:30 am, the fire strong enough to destroy the structure. In the afternoon they tackled a second blaze at W B Bowler’s Wheaton Avenue residence where a defective chimney sparked clothes closet flames with little damage.

Warren Alwood Dies at Son's Home in Lansing
Warren Alwood, age 72, died at his son Irvin Alwood’s Lansing home Sunday night after years of ill health. He had spent the summer with daughter Mrs. Chas Harring and went to Lansing six weeks ago. The body was moved to Thurston Funeral Home. services were held Wednesday by Rev. Chas Kleinhardt with burial at Arthur Cemetery.

Senate OKs Half Year Tags First 1935 Bill

Killer of Coleman deputy still at large Thursday
The unknown assailant who shot Deputy Sheriff Earl Martindale last Friday in Coleman is still at large. Martindale, 40, was killed during a break in at a poolroom and restaurant run with Harry Rowland.
