Harrison Man Loses Arm in Saw Accident
Richard Miller of Harrison lost his right arm in a saw accident while placing a belt on a pulley at a portable buzz saw outfit near Bungo Jake in Lincoln township. He received first aid from Dr. K Hammerberg and was taken to General hospital at Mt. Pleasant where the arm was amputated. He remained weakened after losing substantial blood during transport to Clare.

Respected Arthur Resident Emma Abbott Dies at Home
Emma Jane Abbott born June 16 1867 in La peer county died January 11 1936 at her Arthur township home after weeks of illness. She married Frank Acre in 1886 and had four children Thurman Robinett John Kathryn Mickle and Frank who died with her husband twelve years ago. Survived by daughter son ten grandchildren sisters Mrs Fred Doty and Mrs James Miller Pontiac brother Wm Abbott Hatton and many relatives. Funeral at Doherty parlors last Sunday with Chas Kleinhardt officiating and interment in Cherry Grove cemetery Clare. Mrs EH Green and Mrs Roy Gordon sang. Mrs Forest Garver at piano.

Two Auto Crashes Hurt Two Men Over Weekend
Lawrence Jackson suffered facial bruises when his delivery truck was sideswiped by a 1934 Chevrolet driven by GC P Hutton of Mt Pleasant in front of the Hachmuth home on McEwan street. Wayne Alwood was injured when his car collided with a truck 234 miles south of Clare on US 27 and was taken to Mt Pleasant hospital.

Wise Township Man Pleads Not Guilty to Charge

Elementary building dedication at Central State Teachers College
Central State Teachers College will dedicate its new elementary school building next Thursday January 24 with remarks from Dr. William B Gray of the University of Chicago Dr Paul Voelker state superintendent Edna F Wilson of Saginaw and other officials.
