Clare County snowmobile group aids families and plans safari
The Clare County Snowmobile Association packed Christmas baskets for eight needy families and delivered them December 21. A December 17 party featured Santa on a snowmobile. A moonlight safari is set for January 20 at 8 p.m. starting at Farwell Bank parking lot. Contact Burt Hillard at 588 9148 to RSVP. Congressman Ced erberg aide Ronald Stolz will visit Clare County January 16 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at City Hall to hear local federal issues.

Lake man arraigned in 80th District Court for child abuse
A 22 year old Lake man Michael Lyle of 8670 N Ludington Drive was arraigned January 2 in 80th District Court on a felony charge of child abuse with bond set at 2500 dollars and a preliminary examination date for January 11. Other cases include multiple defendants pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated and other offenses with various fines and dates.

Road repairs planned in Clare and Isabella counties
State representative John M. Engler announces a $15.8 million highway bid set for January 17 in Lansing covering widening and paving on US-10 in Clare and Isabella counties and US-27 business route. A $200,000 Clare area project to add a fourth lane on US-10 and a $3.57 million M-20 reconstruction from Remus to Gilmore Road plus a new detour road on Arthur Road are also planned with completion by mid 1973.
