Plans for a thirty thousand dollar WPA school unit in Harrison have been submitted and accepted by the Federal WPA office. State approval is awaited. The half-unit plan may be expanded later and will serve Hayes and part Greenwood and Hatton townships. The district bonds for ten thousand are issued. twenty thousand comes from WPA funds.

Mrs G Zinser Pioneer Woman Dies on Christmas Eve
Mrs G Zinser of Wise Township died peacefully on Christmas Eve after a stroke two years earlier. Born Christine Weimpheimer in Germany, she came to the United States in 1889 and married Gottlob Zinser in 1894. She leaves a husband, eight grandchildren, eight children, and siblings in Europe. Her funeral was held December 27 at her home.
