Harrison Schoolboy Killed After Walking From Truck
William Burwell Sellers aged thirteen was killed instantly Saturday near Harrison on US-27 when he stepped from behind a slow moving tanker after an earlier minor crash. Ford F Crandall 46 of Lansing swerved to avoid him but could not. The coroner reported a broken neck. Funeral services were held at Clare Methodist Church with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Clare High School hosted the Central C. Debate League on February 14 for a Junior Varsity tournament. About 200 attended with 91 directly involved. teams from St. Louis Elsie Marion Coleman Beaverton and Clare participated. St. Louis won all three debates. Elisie won one and lost two. The 1951 March of Dimes collected only about half of the prior year’s totals. In Clare and Harrison areas combined with other townships, contributions reach $1,140.83, including Sunday and Friday ski park fees. County officials thank all workers and donors for their cooperation.

District basketball draw sets matchups for the week

In one crash a Bay City driver rammed a Chicago man’s car. three people were injured. A separate spill dumped 2,200 gallons of buttermilk from a Scottville Creamery truck. Changes in Fish Laws Proposed by Conservation Commission
