Seventeen graves lack names. researchers visited 19 cemeteries, reading markers and seeking surviving relatives or local helpers to provide unit names and records for government markers.

Clare's Boy Scout Troop 625 finished second in the Klondike Derby held at Camp Rotary. Twenty four sleds raced on a two and a half mile course with judging in compass reading fire building first aid knot tying axemanship and rescuing a person from live wire contact. Mt. Pleasant troop won first place. Patrol leader Tom Moline and assistant Bob Reid led the Clare group with Scoutmaster Harold Moline.
