Water Levels Continue At Record Lows In Michigan
Michigan reports record low groundwater levels and below median streamflow in most of the Lower Peninsula for Oct–Dec 1964. Southern areas suffered drought with deficient flow for seven straight months. Upper Peninsula flows fell but stayed near December median. Inland lake levels and unregulated lakes were often below median, with southeastern lakes at their lowest December levels in two decades.

At Clare General Hospital on February 20, Mrs Adelbert Keller and her daughter Mrs Patrick Crawford both delivered boys about an hour and a half apart. George Owen Keller weighed eight pounds six ounces, while Jeffery Gordon Crawford weighed seven pounds. Both mothers and infants were discharged on consecutive days following the births.

CMU to Name Building for Anspach. Omega Wins Contract
Central Michigan University will name a new General Classroom Building after Dr C L Anspach president emeritus who served from 1939 to 1959. Omega Construction of Grand Rapids won a 1 260 851 dollar contract for the project as part of more than 662 thousand dollars in contracts awarded for the work. The building will house English sociology history political science journalism information services and move university TV offices and studios and the Dean's office of Arts and Sciences.

Safe Robber Steals 2500 From Mannies Tavern in Clare
Clare police and State Police investigate a Wednesday morning burglary at Mannies Tavern 114 West Fourth Street. A basement safe was smashed open and cash with old silver dollars and Kennedy half dollars stolen, estimated at over 2500 dollars. Kaiser, proprietor, said insurance will cover most losses.
