Last Tuesday February 16 relatives and friends gathered at the W R Lansing farm to celebrate his 76th birthday. A bountiful dinner, decorated tables, and a large cake marked the event. Joy Riders Take Cars in Local Thefts
Two Ford cars were stolen on West Fifth Street Saturday evening. Leslie Allen’s car disappeared from in front of Swift and Company’s buying station and was found on Eight Street near the school house. Wesley McKnight’s car, taken from near the A and P store, was found in front of Harger’s residence on East Sixth Street. Emerson Bergey aged ten and Frederick Bergey aged twelve admitted taking the McKnight car and will appear for sentence after next Saturday’s hearing.

Radio fans in Clare will hear a 300 pound dynamite blast from Denver at 9 10 tonight as President Coolidge presses a White House button to detonate charges. The drill work for the east and west headings joins at the tunnel wall with 200 to 300 pounds of dynamite per blast, aiming to “hole through” the rock between sections.
