Due to bad weather the Rebekahs initiation was postponed. Candidates will receive the degree at the next regular meeting. The Woman's Christian Temperance Union meets February 15 at 8 p.m. at Colonville Church with Mildred Montgomery as speaker. Riverside Grange 1090 opens February 16 with a noon pot luck lunch. A boy named Paul Marcus Schlafley Jr. was born January 30 at the Central Michigan Community Hospital weighing eight pounds seven ounces to Mr and Mrs Edward Schlafley Jr. A daughter weighing nine pounds seven and one half ounces was born February 7 to Mr and Mrs Jack Riedel of Lake at Clare General Hospital.
