Tax Payments Reach 806000 for Michigan Lands
The Conservation Department mailed payments totaling 806000 to 76 Michigan counties for about four million acres of state lands including forests parks and recreation areas. At 20 cents per acre the 1966 in lieu taxes top the 1965 high by roughly 1000. Further supplements to follow before February ends.
