Three Violators Brought Into Justice Court Last Week
Conservation officers Ten nant and Frisbey arrested and brought three violators into justice court. Melvin L. Clyne of Rochester was charged with possession of a loaded gun in a car, pleaded guilty, paid 26 dollars and 6.85 dollars costs, and was released. Harold Blount of Clare, with Clyne, faced hunting and wounding a wild animal by rifle from an automobile, pleaded guilty, paid 25 dollars and 6.85 dollars costs, and was released. Richard Midwich of Clare pleaded guilty for possession of a firearm in a game area without a permit during closed season, paid 5 dollars and 6.85 dollars.

James H. Wiggins Dies Suddenly in Car Attack Near Farwell
James H. Wiggins died Friday after a heart attack while driving near his home near Farwell. Born August 2, 1880 in Port Rowan Canada he moved to Bay City Michigan as a child. He married Mary Ann Smith December 24 1924 who died January 8 1945. He was 64. His survivors include Pvt Clifford Wiggins in the Air Force Hazel Park relatives and friends. Funeral Tuesday afternoon with Rev Charles B Hahn officiating and burial in Gilmore Township Cemetery. Clifford Wiggins was granted leave to attend the services.

Bentley of Farwell earned his pilot wings and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U S Army Air Forces after graduating February 1 from Turner Field advanced twin engine school in Albany Georgia He is a 1942 Farwell Agricultural High School alumnus who enlisted March 24 1948 trained at Camp Wolters Texas and transfers to the Air Corps August 1 1948 He is married to Ann Oyen in Detroit and is on furlough with his parents before reporting back February 16.

Four gas stations, a grocery, and a barber shop were broken into around 5:00 am as youths aged about 14 to 17 ransacked Rosebush. Stamps, money, a pocket watch, and a box of coins were stolen. Police issued alerts after separate sightings at a hotel and a farm while a stolen Indiana car linked to the suspects surfaced. George Stambaugh, once in Lansing, was arrested for auto theft in 1943.
