Chevrolet Dealers Meet in Detroit Forecast Big 1929 Sales
Seven hundred Chevrolet dealers and bankers from Michigan Ohio and Indiana gathered in Detroit for the tenth of 48 meetings this winter. R. H. Grant and H J Klinger led talks forecasting a record year with a 1 250 000 car production program and a new six cylinder model. Aimed at standard service and tight bookkeeping the event featured plays scene sets and Movietone footage. Banquet at the Statler Hotel with W S Knudsen as host closed the day.

Five Men Injured In Break Rail Accident On Pere Marquette Line
A broken rail on the Harrison branch near Clare caused a waycar derailment as a snow plow cleared track. Five men including Charles Neimeyer George Pointer Arthur Richmond Arthur Horning and Robert Brown were injured with burns cuts and exposure. They were aided by snow plow crews and sent to Clare and Saginaw hospitals for treatment.

Mrs A J Doherty Fractured Hip From Icy Fall
Mrs A J Doherty slipped on an icy sidewalk in front of Dr W F Chite's office Tuesday and suffered a fractured hip. She was taken to the doctor’s office, then to her hotel room, then by train to a hospital in Saginaw for treatment and reduction of the fracture. Reports say she is making satisfactory progress but will stay in hospital for several weeks.

Clinton Village Destroyed by Fire in 1891 Disaster
On May 9 1891 a fast moving brush fire swept Clinton village near Summit Cros sing and Farwell along the Ann Arbor railroad. Dry conditions and a strong southwest wind spread flames two days surrounding the town. Adventist Sunday observance left many residents away as a few stayed to defend homes and perishables.
