Mrs Warren Kenh Dies at Eighty Four in Clare County
Emily Elizabeth Thompson born October 11 1853 in Ashtabula Geaga County Ohio married Warren R Keith August 10 1872. They moved to Clare County with two children and lived one mile east and one north of Dover. Survivors include four children 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Thurston Funeral Home and burial was in Cherry Grove.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Rabbi Louis Wolsey accepted John D. M. Hamilton’s invitation to help draft a Republican declaration of principles. The 185 member committee will include former President Hoover Alf M Landon Col Frank Knox and former Vice President Dawes as honorary chairs. Wolsey, head of Rodeph Shalom, has long been active in civic affairs including the Mayor’s Crime Commission and spoke movingly at the Republican National Convention. Born in Michigan he led Cleveland Temple up to 1800 families and later became president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. He is married with two sons.

Born July 21 1907 in Clare County Michigan he lived in Brown Corners Harrison and later moved to California with family. He worked four years for a wholesale meat firm and later at Hotel Palomar before illness. He leaves a wife two sons his mother and grandparents and many friends.

Clare Choral Club Plans Continued Weekly Rehearsals
The Clare Choral Club will resume weekly rehearsals each Monday at 7 30 pm in the high school auditorium under Richard Greenfield and Norris Hilden after their Messiah performance. Plans include Gilbert and Sullivan operas in March and an Easter religious work, building a strong repertoire and inviting community members to join. Two Murals Installed In School Auditorium
Two of four murals funded by the Federal Art Project of the WPA were installed this week in the high school auditorium. State Director Sylvester Jerry and artist Gerald Must have supervised the work. The first mural depicts vocational and recreational life with depictions of industrial arts commerce agriculture sports and music. A flying bird motif at the top symbolizes freedom. The second mural portrays academic education using an ancient Egyptian life symbol in the upper panel to represent life in books and the laboratory.

The Joseph M. Swain home hosted a December 25 silver anniversary celebration with 21 relatives sharing a Christmas dinner.
