Harrison Pastor Rev. Storey Dies Sudden at Home
Rev. Herbert B. Storey pastor of the First Congregational Church in Harrison died suddenly at his home Saturday morning after a stumble on Friday evening. Born in Hull England on December 12 1883 he studied in England and at Wesleyan Theological College Montreal and was ordained in 1917. He served in Canada and the United States before taking the Harrison post in July 1947. He is survived by his wife Isabella of Galt Ontario. Funeral services were held in Harrison and later in Galt Ontario with burial in Mount View Cemetery.

Last Thursday the Clare Fire Department was summoned to 803 Mc McHwan Street to extinguish a fire in a dresser drawer. Mrs Aphia Lewis, an elderly retired businesswoman, had not called for help. Laurence Seiter broke a window to enter and tossed the flaming drawer into the yard, triggering a fire alarm from a nearby station. Damages were limited to the drawer, its contents, the drawer itself, and a window sill.
